I don't play pc games, I juts uss my pc for internet, MS Office, buring dvds, cds and occasionally hooking my minidv video camera up and editing video. Currently I have a P4 2.8 and 1 gig of 3200 ram. Would it be worth it for me, if so, what would be my cheapest solution? or any other suggestions?

I would honestly say dual core is leaning towards overkill for what you're doing. It would be great to have just because, but unless you want to spend the money--in which case that's your preference.

You are probably right, I am thinking a new set of faster ram would be better for the money.

Bingo! I was in your position a while back, and the memory was the best move. I actually do game on my pc, but i'm still single-core. it may be necessary at some point, but the memory is a lovely addition.
