would it be worth it cut out these fan grates?

i have the case shown here:

I have 2 antec 80mm fans (exhaust rear, intake front).
as you can see on the webpage linked above, the rear and front locations for the fans have grates covering them. Would there be better performance if i cut them out and used fan grills? Note that i use the case without the front plastic bezel on.

Currently, the intake fan does not seem to intake much, but I can really feel the air when i pull it out of the case and i feel the difference is the metal fan grate. The rear fan is heating the metal surrounding it.

Removing the stamped grate will help increase air flow, and it will reduce noise too.

Yes, it is an excellent modification. Make sure that if you do it to an intake, that you put some sort of mesh on it to catch dust and fur, etc.
