Would it be smart to trade my ram for...

I currently use 1GB of some pretty nice overclocker's ram (see sig). However, I've heard that some games are beginning to use 2gb ram (ahem BF2), and since I run AMD I don't really have a use for good OCing ram. Would it be a good idea to trade in my two sticks of 512MB OCing ram for two sticks of 1GB value ram? I'm thinking maybe Corsair or Mushkin, but I just don't see the point of having OCing ram when I can just run a divider or something, especially with AMD.

It's not a bad idea.

However, BF2 & MMORPGs are the only games that i know of that really benefit from having over 1024 MB of RAM, so i wouldn't upgrade unless you actually play those.

I do look to play BF2 eventually, once I get bored of CS, and I noticed that Maya lags a lot while starting and exiting it, although I don't use Maya extensively, so it's not that big a problem. But I figure, might as well have 2gb of ram over 1, since there's no difference (in my case) between the types of ram themselves.
