Would it be reasonable to ask for a discount when renewing a lease

There are three of us living in a townhouse and we're been great tenants. Payments always on time, etc etc.

So we are thinking we're going to try to negotiate a couple of hundred dollars off the lease (we pay $2900) when we resign for the next year.

I figure it's hard to find good tenants in a college town so she might want to pay just to make her life easier.

Why did you repost this?

Are you serious, you just asked this question. You're worse than I am.

why is this even a question? it never ever hurts to ask. (all they can say is "no", right?)

talk to the leasing office manager (or landlord). don't deal with the peons for this.

EDIT: if the occupancy rate is high in ur area, it may be difficult to get a discount. y'know the whole "supply & demand" concept.
