Would it be possible to get another license?

Here is the story. My license was suspended for points. Not really that bad because my car is in the shop for a new motor. I had leaned the motor out and was running too much nitrous. Anyways... I accumulated 12 points in a two year stand...even though in alabama points clear every two years. Well in line with my bad luck it was suspended two days before 4 of my points would have cleared. I live in Georgia(have for over three months) and was wondering if I could get a license there? Would this be illegal? Do they check with Alabama DMV to see my record?

TIA,
Mill

I am in the Military and have about 49 Marines that I am in charge of. I have three license, Japan, California and Florida.
I also have a couple of guys that have suspended license in one state but drive useing another license from another state.
I cannot say that it is legal but then show me something that says we cannot do it.

The way I look at it is if the DMV will issue it then why not take it.............

I don't remember the exact wording but here in New Jersey, when you fill out the form for a license application there's a box that asks if you currently have a suspended license or a license in another state or such. I *think* there's a statement underneath your signature that says if you're lying, you'll be charged with perjury and possible jail time.

If anybody has those forms handy, maybe you can read it directly. It's been a few years since my last license renewal.

According to this website, all other permits have to be surrendered before getting your Georgia license. If your previous license was suspended you have to get some kind of clearance certificate. Scroll down to "New Resident".

I still have my Alabama license. The mustang is a 2000 GT. I am putting in a Sean Hyland engine. Forged internals, ported/polished heads, hotter cams, etc.

150... it wasn't the engine's fault. The diagram that came with my computer chip for the EEC was flawed. I switched it from 8% rich to 6% lean. It go boom.

no offense...but 12 points in a 2 year stand...i'd feel much safer if u didn't get a license... That being said, you could probably work around the laws somehow.

LOL if you only knew how I accumulated those points. Let me just say that dating a cop's daughter and breaking her heart is NOT a good idea when your town is small.

My license was suspended in Virginia, North Carolina and Rhode Island and I got Florida to give me a license. That was almost ten years ago but I don't think much has changed.

BTW, I was a stupid kid and have grown up considerably. I'm almost six feet now.

basically I decided to break it off with her after a few months. She was of the psycho mindset though. Her dad as well.
