Would it be legal for a regular Joe to drop propaganda flyers?

Seeing how we're dropping all these American propaganda flyers down on the Iraqis, the thought crossed my mind if I were a pilot, could I spreading my rhetoric by dropping flyers over cities? Or hell even from my car?

I think it violates some FAA rule to toss stuff out of a plane. And doing it from your car would probably be littering. You can stand on the corner and hand papers out though 🙂

If you dropped them here, being as your a citizen in this country i think you'd get at least arrested for littering..

If you go to anoher country and can evade their radar and military jets...be my guest😛

People put that garbage on my door and car sometimes. I just toss it into the fireplace after making mental note never to do business with said corporation though.

Even if it was legal you can be assured you'll be the target of civil suits later ("You gave me a paper cut", "You hit my car while I was driving and caused an accident", etc.).

People definitely won't appreciate flyers being dropped on their property. You'll probably do more harm than good (so drop flyers for the opposite side's position, not yours).

You can't drop stuff from a plane due to FAA regulations. BIG BIG BIG FINES!!!!!!!!!, and possibly jail time.
