Would it be disrespectful to go to Six Flags tomorrow?

I've already got tickets and have had it planned for a month or so. But I think it might be insensitive for me to go to an "amusement park" and ride roller coasters so soon after the tragedy. Whadda you guys think?

I agree. I don't think we should let those guys in the middle east spoil our fun... Go have some for all of us, and brighten all of our days!

IMHO, there's two sides to it.

It may seem disrespectful to go and have fun right now...

BUT

If you dont go - it mean's you stop your normal life because of this and that's exactly what the terrorists want...

So, I guess it's up to you. I dunno what I would do.

agreed. go.

i'm still not sure i agree w/ all the sports stoppages over the weekend.

i agreed w/ MLB not having games on tuesday night, but extending it to the weekend seems too much. i know they did it cause the NFL stopped, but anyway, end of rant.

I know what you're feeling.

I am still in a somber mood and a lot of times when I'm thinking about getting back to my old routines, I wonder if this is a sign of disrespect for the victims.

I haven't gone shopping this week. Normally, I would be at Best Buy looking at what neat computer hardware to buy and what new DVDs to get. I tried playing a computer game last night but couldn't really get into it because of lingering sadness over the recent events. Nothing seems the same.

But I think that if I were a victim, I would want you to continue on with your life. I would want you to experience happiness and joy and not let the terrorists win by causing us to disrupt our lives.
