would i need kooling on a Maxtor - Max Plus 30Gb ATA66 - 7200 RPM - IDE

If i do what kind should i get, a batman fan thing, or a Hard Drive Bay Cooler?

You probably don't need to UNLESS you plan on overclocking your processor to a large extent.

yeah, i am , im gonna overclock my 900 athlon to as far as it goes
would it get hot in there?

Just check and see how hot it is after some extended use. I've 2 IBM GXP75 and I don't feel the need for some cooling. And my computer stays on 24/7. What kind of case do you have?

Nahhh.... Unless your case is going to have like no air circulation whatsoever, most 7200rpm IDE drives don't produce that much heat...

You don't need any cooling for it unless you plan on wrapping it in a plastic bag to make it waterproof.
