Would I lose anything using 2nd pci16 slot instead of 1st slot?

Might need to replace my mobo and found a new cheap board but I'd have to use 2nd slot for graphics card. Would I lose any performance?

Edit: You might have to assign the second slot in the bios to get it to work.

I know it will work because I did it with one of my old rigs. I was just wondering if there was more latency since it's further away and if it's enough to degrade performance?

Download GPUZ, run it, and just make sure it's at it's highest bandwidth spec still (likely 16x). If it is, then you should be fine.
