Would i benefit from a headphone amp?

What would be some good headphones under $100 ?

Whether or not you will benefit from a headphone amp is up to you personally. It is very subjective. What I can tell you is that people who own Sennheiser cans and Beyer cans would benefit quite more with headphone amps than those who own Grado and denon. This is due to the impedance profile of the cans.
