Not even the V3 or whatever it is, just the regular one that is free at cingular right now...my sister got it and its reasonable. my brother in law has the newer one, and while thats good and everything, i never get on the internet or do anything like that. hell, i barely make phone calls...

my sisters seems decent enough. it even seems a bit better than my v551 i got a couple years ago. anyway, all the phones are either too expensive, too crappy, or good but require expensive data plans. anyone?

thanks

i have always thought it was crap. the interface is horrible, the memory is limited, the bluetooth is horrendously slow...i see no reason to buy that phone. how much more are the other ones?

well, i dont want the black berries, the samsungs all look cheap except for the black jack, which is 139 (which i dont mind) but the data plans and other plans = ~50+ a month. there are no ericsons in store, and the iphone is too expensive. and there are like 500 razrs from motorola, but thats all from motorola.

If you barely use the phone then just get whatever free. No reason to get expensive phone when you barely use it.

A razr is a pretty bad choice, probably one of the worst you can make.

and this is coming from someone who does warranty replacements for AT&T.. I cannot even tell you how many razrs I go through in a day.

EDIT: In addition to Kazaam's Samsung Sync, the main problem with the syncs is the reception. I get a lot of calls for reception issues.

I had the sync for a few months before I bought the iphone, and for a basic phone that can play music, it was a very nice phone. I dropped it tons of times and it still worked flawlessly. Reception wasn't bad (same as all the other at&t phones I had).

I forgot how much I bought the micro sc card, but I think I paid like $20 from ebay for a 2gb card which I picked up from seller's house. not bad imo.

Does cingular carry the Moto v360 like Tmobile does....or did? That was a great phone. Good reception and solid build. Bluetooth performance could have been a bit better, but still better than the RAZR any day. I'd guess you could probably buy one unlocked for like $50 on ebay.

I say get an unlocked phone you really want from the internets. It'll move with you to your next (GSM) carrier.

The average consumer buying an unlocked phone is like the average email/web user going out and buying a quad core and ddr3 memory.

Personally I know of no less than 10 people with the RaZR. No one is really a power user, but no one has had problems either. My wife has been using her's for months now all the time.

Choosing a phone should be based on what you are doing with it. Most people don't need 30000 contacts, edge and 20MP cameras :)
