RGB, from what I've read is analogous to VGA. However there is a difference b/w RGB and Y Cb/ Pb Cr/ Pr. RGB has full horizontal resolution througout each of the cables (i.e. R.ed, G.reen and B.lue), whereas Y Cb/ Pb Cr/ Pr (aka R.ed, W.hite, and B.lue) is a watered down version of RGB with Y being the only cable with full horizontal resolution. By the way, Y is basically white. The reason I am asking this is because I bought some 1st party (Sony) components and they are pretty good cables (Y Pb Pr), but I was under the impression that they were true RGB's. Will true RGB cables have better output?
Side note that I just read: Y Pb Pr = Analog and Y Cb Cr = Digital, the nomenclature these days are incorrectly interchangeable due to "Digital Components" not being openly available to the consumer market.
