Would going from a X800 GTO2 to a 1900 XT be a big jump?

I've got the GTO2 flashed with an 850 bios and running about 500/600.

I'm looking at either a 1900XT or maybe even a 7950 GX2.

What do you guys think?

i have an x2 4200, Ultra_D, G-Skill 2 x 1gb HZ, etc and i've been itching to get a better video card.
I've just been hesitant because there's so many damn choices.

Well OVERKILL, if you want to go overkill get a 7950GX2. Although if you want great performance for the price, the X1900XT 256MB and the X1900XT 512 MB are awesome bang/buck performers. Nvidia is going to release a 7950GT though so I would wait and see what happens.

nVidia doesn't have that good IQ nor HDR+AA, why will he buy it even if it is 5% faster which it probably won't than the 1900XT.

you didn't spell anything wrong aside from writing "sorry" as "sry" in the PS...and why do you need a toolbar to spellcheck??

Yeah, it's a big jump. I also went from a 16pipe gto @560/560 to a x1900xt, and even at 1280 res it's a big difference. Just wait till you try Oblivion on it.
