Are you looking to purchase new or do you have stuff to reuse? And if the latter, what speed is it?
If you're buying new, since DDR5 prices have fallen, if it's only marginally more in cost, I'd probably go with the DDR5.
From what I've seen online, unless you're getting tight timing and very fast DDR5, you probably wouldn't see much of a difference.
Maybe if you upgrade every year or two, it could make sense to go DDR5, because you could potentially reuse it at that point. But if your upgrade cycle is longer, may as well just use the DDR4 you already have.
I had 32 GB of Corsair Vengance DDR4 3600 RAM when I built my new PC this past January. I went with the parts in my signature No complaints at all.Reuse.
Speed: DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
It is CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory
