I currently have this SAPPHIRE TRI-X OC 100361-2SR Radeon R9 290X 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card and now the SAPPHIRE 100361-4L Radeon R9 290X 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Tri-X OC(UEFI) Video Card, New Edition
is on sale for $300.00 with a $20 MIR. To get the exact same card i already have is $370.00 with a $20 MIR, so we are talking $70 savings. The only difference i can see is the 20Mhz clock difference and the UEFI. Would it be possible to make them play nice in Crossfire? Or do i wait for the R300's come out and hope to land the exact same card i already have when they clear them out? I want to play GTA V at 2560 X 1440 with most(or all) of the eye candy on, is why i'm thinking this. lol

Should be fine. I once had a Powercolor 290 and a Sapphire 290 Tri X

Crossfire would work with 290 and 290X - 290X though wouldn't be fully used; one thing nice about crossfire; works with any range of cards in 290-290X

It's on it's way to me. I was just afraid to pull the trigger because of seeing some post about Crossfire/SLI not working unless you had two of the exact same cards. Again, thanks for clearing that up.
