Would comparing and contrasting The Fast and the Furious to real life ricers/street racers be a good essay?

It could make for a fun read, but you need to give us more to go on. What level, high school? College? Post graduate? How much research needs to go into this?

high school should be okay, depending on teacher, anything else, no. (unless you have a very forgiving english teacher in college, who appreciates uniqueness or something)
