Would companies please stop sending "selected" products to reviewers.

Tom got an A7V with the dipswithces that won't be in the final shipping version

Tom got AMD chips that were not locked, the final product will be locked. It did not say Engineering sample and looked like a normal CPU.

Tom got a Gainward GF2 with engineering sample RAM

Rumour has it, anand got a "preselected" CLAP2 that oc's extraordinarily well


Would the companies please say this will def not be the shipping version BEFORE they send it out, or send out the actual final shipping unit. So very confusing these days
 
I would like to see followup articles based on off-the-shelf parts. This way we know if the reveiwers got a hand picked part or just one of the many.
 
What about the memory reviews. I get a kick out of them. StoreX sent us a stick of their high-performance Ram, lets run some tests. We all know that stick was hand picked and tested before they sent it for a review. Lets see a review of randomly ordered sticks and not just the ONE that was sent by StoreX.
