would barton 2500+ benefit me any

I currently have a mobo running at 266 FSB with a 2100+ Athlon Thoroughbred. I have a Radeon 9500 Pro video card.

Would I get any benefit from buying a NForce2 mobo with a 2500+ barton and overclocking it by running at 200 FSB?

OR would the video card just bottleneck me?

You would get some some benefits but in my opinion not enough for the money, if you have to buy something, buy a new graphic card...

your video card is fine. i would say go for the nforce2/barton 2500. im glad i did 🙂

it will benefit you greatly. just don't forget you'll need fast ram too.

I have PC2100 Ram that is Crucial brand. I know this will go up to 155Mhz with aggressive timings and could probably do 160 with laxer timings.
