My wife ordered a couple of new magazines. One of them arrived about a week ago, with the November issue. The December issue arrived two days later. Then the other magazine sent their November issue and quickly followed it with their December and January issues.

While the magazines are for the current month, we all know they sell magazines at least a month early. So, in reality, they sent us old magazines as part of our subscription.

With that technique, a 12-month subscription will only last about 10 months.

She called both companies. Both apologized and extended the subscriptions for the additional months.

But it makes me wonder: Do most people accept this? Do people like back issues? What would prevent them from sending the past 12 months of magazines and calling it good?

They must have success or they wouldn't try it. :frown:

Interesting, I would never know as I rarely look at the date on magazines unless its a sports related magazine.
