I played him over my other backs, but I left almost 15 points on the bench with Jordan sitting to let LJ play. I heard so many bad things about LJ and KC, but figured he was still a good pick for my league's 4th pick in the 1st round.

I may have been wrong.

Football is such a hard game to foretell. Houston's defense stinks and they shut down KC totally. Is KC that bad? Or has Houston improved that much?

So why has anyone picked LJ to do anything this year?

1700 yards last year so you can't pass 'em up if you get the chance. He'll get his yards, just not like prior years.

Don't feel bad. I had Randy Moss benched in one of my leagues.

Same here. I didn't think he would play.

me too, lol. If I had played Moss over Boldin and Jordan over Jackson I would have 130+ points. As is 105, the win, and the league lead in points (12 person) will have to do.

I actually had him and Gore ranked high teens, not low singles like most. I got edge at pick 23 and I think he is going to be just as good as both of them.

Dunno how to put my finger on it, just had a bad feeling about LJ. Also Ronnie Brown and Brandon Jacobs. Maybe I am psychic. Then again, I did play Jackson this week. woohoo 1 point!

KC lost Roaf the year before, then Will Shields, and has friggin Huard as the starting QB. Not exactly the offensive behemoth they used to be under Trent Green.

I had NE's D starting instead of Minn, and they only managed 10 fantasy points even with their cheating versus Minn's 30.

Eh? Its both. Houston's defense has definitely improved. Folks could say the same for SF and Arizona...their defenses were some of the worst last year, but they've def improved.

Plus Johnson is a pretty over-rated back in my opinion. The Chiefs O-line has really gone down the tubes. Svitek and Turley (their main tackles since McIntosh is hurt still) shouldn't even be playing in the NFL, let alone starting. They lost Kennison (their #1 reciever) on their first offensive play of the game, so their passing game didn't go anywhere especially since Gonzalez was needed for blocking. Oh, and then there's the fact that I don't think Herm understands what offense is (he's ultra conservative on play calling, and thinks that 21 points is a high score). He also said that he wasn't going to run Johnson a lot since he missed preseason and training camp.

Prepare for a loooong season with LJ. He's going to get his yards and some TD's, but with the combination of Edwards, no QB, bad O-line etc, I think this is going to be a very meager season for him. I stayed clear of him in the draft, but Stephen Jackson didn't do much better.....

for not being a starter in the NFL very long Larry Johnson is old as dirt.
11/19/1979 - Larry Johnson
8/26/1979 - Jamal Lewis

You'd expect Jamal Lewis to be a few years older than LJ.
Chiefs just plain suck. theyre going to be behind all year. they'll have to throw...try to throw...horrible WRs, decimated O-line, marginal QB.

People are forgetting that Huard was the QB most of last year when Johnson had 1700 yards.

They're also forgetting that one game doesn't mean shit.
