Yeah I know its an ancient game ,but it still rocks!:D

I've played many a LAN game on Forsaken but never yet across the net ,1 of only 2 places left doing it on the net (MSN zone:disgust: ) has a bunch of guys who play it but they run the unpatched version ,which I can't run on Win2k:(

So anyone up for it?
[update]

people with game, & should be ready to play ,or very soon;)

Its a game very much like Descent 3 etc ,Forsaken was released sometime in Mid '98 ,it was quite advanced for its time as it supports 3D cards:).
Basically you control a jet powered, hovering motor bike (with no wheels of course) ,you have various energy weapons ,missiles & mines & you fly inside tight buildings:D

Runs fine on my GF3 ,though there's occasinal missing textures & the FPS counter maxes out at about 650!:Q;)

It used to run OK on my old Pentium 200MMX@225 with a 4Mb Voodoo1 ! ,so its good for old rigs too :)

Ray

Then you're obviously not as skilled at the game as others such as myself. ;) I like the game for this very reason - the better you become, the more you get to play. :)

Mate you haven't read my thread properly!;):p

It'll run on a Voodoo 1 ok so it'll certainly run well on your MX4!:D

the best game I've played so far (as far as fun to play goes) has got to be battlefield 1942....I think I'll stick to it for a while, even though it has some problems when I crank up the eye-candy on my radeon 9700 pro.

I'm open to playing Descent 3 if anyone ever gets that urge  And don't believe anything ViRGE says, it's all lies or at least exaggerations! :p ;)

This thread still alive? I remember how fluid this game ran on my K6-200 and 8 meg voodoo2. Can you believe that, a K6-200 running a game fluidly? :Q ;)

If I can find my cd, I'm up for it. :)

Cool! :D

Well Ray should have this game by now ,& a few others will hopefully be able to join us over the next week or so:)

Btw it can't of been too fluid on a K6 200 as my Pentium 200MMX@225MHz just about cut it;)(which had about 20-30% better FPU!) ,at least in heavy battle scenes anyway, I remember the FPS used to drop to about 23-25 then!.But yeah ,amazing this game ran so well on old hardware:)
