Question Would an RTX 4060 sell out instantly at $800 if it performed between an RTX 3070 and 3080?

If mining stays profitable, then they could charge $1500 for a 4060 and it would sell out before release day. We all know that's a fact. So, I think $800 is a fair middle ground and a pretty low price for a next gen 4060. It would literally sell out before release day through back door deals at $800 and they'd be on ebay before release day at $1500. So why not increase the price? It needs to go up a lot to prevent scalpers from taking control over the market. I think Nvidia should choose their pricing and take control over their products. I advocate for an $800 RTX 4060.

We won't know until the RTX 40 series comes out late 2022/early 2023. Until then, anything about it would be pure speculation.

mining got nothing to do with it, model number got nothing to do with it. Would a 3070 sell for $800 ? They would be gone in minutes. Cheapest 3070 i can see here is £659 = $910.

Exactly. 4060's would be gone to miners a month before release at $1200 let alone $800. Gamers simply have no place in this market.

Mining is going to be over in late 2022, assuming healthy supply of silicon nobody is going to pay $800 for a x60 card.
