Would an Asus P4P800 MB fit in a Dell Dimension 4300 case?

Friend has a p4 1.6 and wants to upgrade. The MB in there now only goes up to 2.2.

He wants to get a new MB and CPU. Will this board fit in a Dell case? I think it's probably easier to just get a new case, but that's just me. He would like to use his existing case from Dell if possible.

I have neither that case, nor that mobo, but I know this:

Dell's cases and motherboards are both proprietary. The holes for the standoffs are not in industry-standard (i.e. ATX standard) locations.

I've tried; it don't work. 🙁 The new Dell mobos seem to use standard ATX power connections. 20 and 4-pin connectors, but of course even the Dell PS has a funky outer chassis that only fits Dell cases. Go fig.

Also, Dell cases don't have a standard knock-out ATX IO panel. More proprietary BS. Forget it. Spend the $50 and get a nice Antec case with a 300W PS.

I thought I'd heard somewhere that Dell did use industry standard components, which surprised me. This doesn't.
