Would a USB Modem work with an iBook?

Hi.
I currenty use a Sagem USB modem to connect to the internet(ADSL).
Im buying an iBook soon, and as i cant afford a wireless ADSL router and the ibook at the same time, i was wondering if i could just plug the ADSL modem into the iBook, input the phone number/user/pass, and use the net that way till i get the money.

You should be able to just download the appropriate driver from this page and you can rock and roll. Hope that helps
