Would a single stick of dynamite obliterate a Crown Victoria?

I was watching The Monster Squad out of pure boredom today and noticed Dracula was able to blast a police cruiser into little flaming bits with one stick of dynamite.

Do you think thats possible? Has mythbusters ever checked on this?

I imagine a single stick would pop all the windows out and maybe dent it up a bit. Too much air to cushion the explosion to get anything too dramatic. At least that's my theory, I could be wrong, never really played with explosives, though it would be fun as hell to get the chance to. :D

Obliterate it, as in blown into tiny pieces? Not likely...but severely FUBAR’D? Definitely.

At this stage most Crown Vics are going to be 90% rust and might be obliterated by a gentle breeze.

For some reason the local yocals in my area like to buy the old police Crown Vics and drive them around like they are cool. This is Florida.

I always figured they were interceptors with bigass V8s.

Bigger-asser V8s I guess.

My brother helped a buddy of his replace the stock 302 in his (buddy's) Crown Vic cop car with a rebuilt 460 from I-don't-even-know-where-the-hell-you-get-those.

Me, I like a biggish, comfortable car, and there's something nice about burbling along at low RPMs, but you don't actually need a whole lot of power for that.

The Boss 460 looks nice.

The locals in my area don’t keep their Vics in good condition so it’s difficult to appreciate them but I get where you’re coming from. :)

I think the crown vics are a hoot to own. Don't blow them up with dynamite. Much more satisfying to take them to the drag strip and blow them up with 150 shot of NOS. Or the county fair demo derby. Or the local dirt track for open run nights. Rally cross, lemons races, drifto competitions, hell even a local autocross.

If it's a runner it's a waste to throw a stick of dynamite in it. One stick of dynamite isn't even a big explosion. If your gonna blow it up use at least 10lbs of tan me rite
