Would a pig actually eat a corpse?

The chinese people in the show Deadwood have these pigs that they are always feeding corpses too and a friend of mine was completely convinced that you could actually do that.

Im just not convinced you could dump a whole corpse in a pig pen and the pigs would completely devour it bones and all.

On the old South Park DVDs, before they started releasing them as Season they would just put a few random episodes on a disk and sell it like that. But anyway the early ones had Trey Parker and Matt Stone doing little skits before each episode while they read some commentary. Sometimes they had a pig that they would feed bacon and sausage and stuff.
