Would a new motherboard actually benefit me?

Right now i have my Abit BX6-2, with C-600@928, 512mb of Ram, Promise ata100 controller. With the new motherboards out, would there be any performace difference than with the board I have now?

Yup that's what i thought....I'll just upgrade when i get a new cpu, then i'll have to get new ram too, so that'll be later lol. Thanks for replying

i dont think with your system that you will notice a large difference. and you have pc100 sdram, its micron so it may do 133 no sweat, but if you would be going to a new system, it is possible that the pc100 wont handle a 133 bus. i would keep that box around and make it a file server (or sell it) in about another 4-6 months.
