Would a multi Raspberri Pi Pico Linux system be possible?

My son finally got his Raspberry Pi Pico W system with a bunch of accessories, and is playing around with getting various things to work.

I found myself wondering - would it be possible to link a bunch of these together and make some sort of multi core Linux PC?

Each of them has 2 MB of flash storage and 264k of RAM, plus a dual core ARM processor.

Look into rock pi 5.

Hmm. That's a lot closer to a modern processor, with 2 quad core cpu's in there running at multiple Gigahertz. Plus, it's well over $100.

I was thinking more of projects where people combined the actual Raspberry Pi Pico, which has a dual core ARM processor, but runs at about 133 MHz. (Each one costs only about $8.)

That still seems pretty speedy, since my first PC (TI 99/4a) ran at 3 MHz, and was still able to do lots of games, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

Maybe the clock speed and RAM are just too low to do what I'm thinking with it, but it sure seems to be a capable little thing for the price.
