Would a low end PSU with a high end graphics card cause artifacts on high rez?

This would be my first ATI conflict on my system. I'm using a Allied 350 watt PSU which is a stretch for my system. While playing UT2k3 in 800 x 600 everything runs perfectly. Then I switched to 1024x768 and I got affects that compared to peoples problems running GTA:VC without the frame limiter on.

White lines , backgrounds would turn completely black, my character would sometimes be out in the middle of space, and things of this nature.

I don't know if this is a lack of voltage for the video card or a driver conflict. So Hm.

What are you running that would be stressing a 350w PSU?

I would not think this is a PSU problem, but possibly a heat issue with your video card or drivers like you said. Are you overclocking the card at all?

Its not lack of voltage for the card. And your card should definitely be able to play 1024x768 with no problem. Try upgrading to Cat 3.5 or 3.6 if you haven't done so already. Also, fool around with the settings but i really dont know what would be causing that problem. You might want to ask in a UT2k3 forum or give them an e-mail if you dont get this problem in other games.

I concur with ruling out heat factor. Try running it with the side of the case open and an exterior fan blasting away :)
