I'm thinking of buying a leadtek tv2000xp deluxe mainly for watching some tv but more for playing ps2/xbox games on my monitor (19" FD Trinitron), not particulartly interested in recording very much but who knows. So is there anyone who has specifically used one of these for this? does it work pretty well?

Its a good TV tuner from what I've read (I have the Asus which is also excellent.) The video in is acceptable for consoles, but is by no means excellent. Definitely use S-Video as the difference from composite (RCA) is pretty dramatic. Ideally, a VGA adapter directly to your console would be the way to go, but there is no adapter for XBox that takes advantage of its HDTV display capabilities. Its gonna take awhile to get used to it, as your monitor displays much higher resolutions than NTSC, so it doesn't look nearly as good as on a TV. A VIVO videocard might also be better, as TV Tuner cards use video overlay through your video card to display images.

Ya I"ve heard good things in general but not really from people with actual experiances, hehe.
*goes off to see what Asus has*

Naw, there's a huge thread over in Video, or here from actual owners of the Leadtek. Just run a search with "TV" and it'll bring a bunch of threads up. I'd go with either the Leadtek or Asus though, as they boast specific support for XP and Win2k and have newer Conexant chips and newer tuners. I spent a bit more for the Asus b/c I wanted the best for under $100 and after a horrible experience with a Pinnacle PCTV, I didn't want to chance being disappointed if it meant spending just $20 more (Asus over Leadtek).
