Would a EVGA 6200 run a Apple 23" Cinema properly?

First thing you need to know: this card would be used by my father to run basic applications like email, Firefox, Photoshop, etc. So no gaming will happen with this card.

Would there be any noticeable performance difference between a 6800 Ultra and a 6200 in these basic apps? Link to card:

in windows? no. in osx? yes. but i don't think that the card will support it at color depth over 256 colors. get a 6600

according to manual, 30" requires 6800GT or Ultra for 2 30", 20" and 23" can get by with "nvidia graphics card or Radeon 7500"

What is better about this card? It is refurbished and offers nothing better in 2d performance which the original poster explicitly stated was the intention of this pc?

The problem is that people can't seem to accept that video cards exist for other purposes then getting the highest score in EPenisMark2005.

You need to make sure that whatever card you choose, it and its DVI port is capable of pumping out the native resolution for the panel - which IIRC is 1920x1200. Basically, anything capable of driving the Dell 2405FPW should be able to handle this one.

Seriously, though, everything modern should handle that and more. If you need assurance, max resolution and refresh should be somewhere in the specs of the video card.
