If you P3 600EB works the celeron would. Might need a bios upgrade to correcly ID it.

I have a feeling that your motherboard is the Slot-1 type. So, it WILL work if you put your Celeron-II on a FC-PGA to Slot-1 slotket.

But @675, the P3 should approach the performance of a 800mhz Celeron II...so why? Of course you could get enough out of the P3 in $s to buy the latest Celeron II that will OC, a slotket and a Golden Orb, and still have cash leftover.

I'm not looking to replace my proc with a celeron. I am looking for a new mobo though and wanted to know if I got one if I could stick a celeron in this one.

I run a c566@850 in a Pro133 mobo; yours is more advanced than mine. The GORB-alike makes it all possible to run at such a high speed.
