Would a C!!-533@800 run in SMP with a P!!!-800E?

Maybe you have to hack the celeron!!'s like you used to have to hack the Celeron Slot-1's. However, without a clue to what is lacking between a C!! and a P!!! for SMP, it would be tough to figure out.

Has anyone simply tried to run a P!!!-800E (8x100) with a C!!-533@800 in SMP?

well, the celeron has 4way associative cache, the pentium 3 has 8way
i guess youll have to try and find out for us tho =P

I don't even think you can run two of the same CPU with different steppings in SMP, so different CPUs altogether must be out of the question.

Or to answer your question straight: When hell freezes over. 🙂

actually cpu with different stepping actually runs in SMP

however, i do not think two different cpu runs together

and also even if they do, C2 got their SMP disabled

so u can't run it regardless
