I installed a DVD-ROM into a computer with a 8MB video card and it won't run DVD's good at all.

My mom just bought an computer with a 16 MB Video card in it would it run DVD's good because she wants to buy a DVD-ROM from me ?

Thanks !

DVD movies ran fine with my Voodoo3 3000 16MB card. Just make sure you have at least a PII400 processor and have DMA enabled for the DVD-ROM drive. You should be fine.

True, but a PII400 will have no problems decoding MPEG2 though software.

I know there's some chokepoint regarding the ability of the video card to handle hardware overlay as well, but we're just getting way off topic here. 😛
