Would 7-8 oz gloves be excessive for daily use?

I want to get a pair of good leather gloves, & I've always wanted a weighted pair. My brother & I are constantly beating on each other, a shot in the chest with a weighted glove would be a surprise well worth the cost of the gloves. :D

I found these. Leather gloves, 8 oz of steel shot in each glove. They're exactly what I would want, but I didn't realize they were so heavy.

Anybody here have experience wearing gloves like this on a daily basis? Did you find them awkward/constricting?

Too bad they're illegal, but Marines back in Vietnam and Korea had gloves that were lined with pockets of mercury. A punch in the face would break every bone in your face. A guy I used to work with at another campus hid his at the bottom of his duffle bag when he was released way back when and brought them to work one day after talking about them. Those fsckers were light until you moved them. I Slipped one on, and they felt fine and dandy. I swung, and felt like I was going to throw myself over from the momentum. :Q

Years ago, they were restricted to law enforcement use only, then made illegal alltogether. But this guy still had his :D
