Would 32 bit W7 perform better?

I have a laptop (HP touchsmart txt2) with 3gb's of ram. I want to maximize the efficiency and Linux just didnt work out for me, :$ So i'm going back to Windows 7.

Since i only have 3gb's of ram...and its plenty for what i need it for. Would 32 bit perform better?
 
IF the laptop has 64-bit compatible hardware why wouldn't you go with 64 but windows? 3GB of RAM is not a problem, but don't throw out the 64 bit advantages just because you only have 3GB of RAM.
