Would $100 do anything for my system?

Would $100 do anything for my system? I can play ultra settings on the games I like (mostly Dota, and a little CS GO). I will play GTA 5 next month. I game at 1440p.

One reason I'm asking this is because in the next few days Im going to reinstall windows 7. IT's an OEM so I cant switch the mother board for a while. Should I get a new motherboard? I doubt it would much of a difference. Money is very tight for me right now.

Intel i5-4670K
MSI Z87-G41
ASUS GTX 660
Sand Disk Ultra 2 240gb SSD
Corsair 8GB
9TB
Windows 7
ASUS PB27Q (1440p IPS equivalent)
Seasonic G 550W
Fractal Define R4 - Black with window
Asus DGX
DT 990s Premium
Razer Imperator
KeyKool 84 Red Keys Blue LEDs

A new motherboard does not makes any sense (unless this one is defective).

Your GTX 660 graphics card is a clear bottleneck for games.

Sell the GTX 660, add your $100 (or more if you can) and buy a better graphics card (at least a GTX 960).

Assuming you're not overclocking and are using stock cooler, getting an aftermarket HSF and overclocking will yield some improvement.

But otherwise, upgrading the GPU makes more sense. Either you do as Seba suggested or save up some more for a more substantial upgrade later (e.g. when GTAV is actually released for PC).

Regards.

Or an R9 280 (or 7950 - same thing) would probably work well enough with your PSU, and is closer to fitting in your budget.

You could use a video card upgrade but you would need to sell your current card for a decent price and then save up enough for at least a Nvidia 960 ~ 200ish or an AMD R9 290 (220ish on a hot deal otherwise 250ish), otherwise prolly not worth messing with your system as it's fairly balanced. If you have not overclocked and solid HSF like the NH-D14/15 or Phanteks equivalent would be a good choice and should be in your budget, 4.2 to 4.4ghz would not be out of the question with a sold HSF.
