haha with 3264x1952 resolution, I would wait the 3 weeks. But anyways, you are probably better waiting and play with it in a store first, as you'll be stuck with the phone for 2 years.

Resolution for what? I saw that on the first couple of datasheets I saw and assumed that section was a typo. What is that supposed to be the resolution of?

HTC Droid Incredible: Form: Candy Bar; Weight: 4.8 oz.;Camera Resolution 8 MP

Motorola Droid: Form: Slide; Weight: 6 oz.; Camera Resolution 5 MP

Both rated Superior, both cost $200. Both are Droids.

I would wait for the slicker form factor, higher camera res, and lighter weight. What's three weeks? (Another pay period!)

The HTC Droid's camera res smokes the Moto Droid's. (8MP vs. 5 MP)

The resolution you posted earlier is the photos it takes.

How do you change the nofication color on the Droid (does this require a custom ROM, I'm sticking with stock 2.1/2.2).

If you mean the notification LED, then you'd have to use an app but there are several available in the marketplace.

I use ChompSMS to change my LED for texts to blue for example.

Other apps that can do this are Missed Call and Handcent SMS. I'm sure there are a lot more as well.

Oh, I need one for Emails, I have 3 different emails that I need to assign colors too.

If you like keyboards, get a Droid. If you'd prefer thinner/lighter, get the Incredible.

If you want a something mechanical (the slide out keyboard) that will, in a short time, make the phone feel cheaper than it should, get the Moto Droid.

I much prefer the candy bar type. No moving parts to wear out.

I have a two year old G1 and it still slides nicely. It kinda depends on how well made the phone is.

It always depends on that, but sliders are still mechanical and a prime point of failure or problems.. just like the trackball on all but the newest Blackberries.

I wouldn't get a Droid at this point. I would wait on the Incredible, Droid 2, or the Shadow. Droid was very nice when it came out but is to old to latch into a two year contract with.

I agree with boomhower.

Motorola has some new Verizon phones that are very close to being released (like within the next month or 2).

Agreed on the Droid 2 or Shadow. Supposedly July release...maybe August for the Droid 2. I ended up caving and picking up a Droid. I do have to say the keyboard blows goats compared to the Devour keyboard I traded in. However the Droid 2 looks to have a better keyboard, so that should help things a bit (d-pad removed in favor of some arrow keys and stretching the keyboard out).
