Worth Upgrading Video?

My system at home is aas follows:
Asus A7n266-E
Athlon 1700+
512 PC2100
40gb WD 7200rpm
GeForce 4 MX 440

I was thinking about upgrading to an ATI 9600 XT....
Right now that price range is about all I can budget. Should I purchase this card or is there a better card choice for me?

9600 XT's area bit of a rip. If you want to spend that much I would go for a 9800 Pro which can be found for 175 sometimes.

I would go for a 9600 Pro if you are worried about prices as they perform similar to the XT's but don't have the price premium. Though ANYTHING for you would be an upgrade.

I think I've seen the Pro edition cards for close to $50 cheaper.... I guess if I can save money and still have similar preformance than I would definitly go for that.
