I right now have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D with a Noctua U12A and get around 5550-5590 in CB20 muticore. I think this is the best it's going to get with my Noctua U12A as before I did the pea size method of thermal paste application with Grizzly Kyronaut and got around 100 points less CB20 multicore and now I'm using MX-4 and the spread method for the thermal paste. How much less thermal throttling will I get at full CPU load if I upgrade to a 240 mm AIO and top mount it as exhaust. I have no room in my case to front mount a 240mm radiator, much less a 280/360 mm AIO with my RTX 4090 installed. My only option is to top mount a 240mm AIO and use the radiator as exhaust unless I buy a new and bigger case. Would it be worth it to upgrade to a 240mm AIO or is it even considered an upgrade from what I have now if I'm seeking less thermal throttling under full CPU load?
