Worth upgrading or wait?

Current specs include X2 4400+ at 2.5 ghz, ASRock mobo, BFG 6800gt oc agp, OCZ 1 gig platnium ram and OCZ 450W modstream PSU. Would it be wise to upgrade my video card right now to a evga 7900gt KO. I want to be able to play UT2K7 and all the other games coming out at fairly decent settings, or should I wait for the G80 series?

The cpu is good 2 gigs of ram would be nice for the future. i'd wait on the video card though until ut2k7 specs are confirmed. Maybe the 7900gt will be just right, maybe it wont be enough.

Early builds of UT2007 demos were done at 640x480 on sli 6800ultras at 30fps average. They probably will work on optomizing the engine more as release nears but e dont know how much.

We cant answer the question without knowing what the recomended requirements will be for the game which is still quite a ways from even being close to done.

Besides it is likely to be DX10 capable so likely you'll need vista and a new D10 card to get the most out of it.

NEVER EVER EVER buy a video card to play a video game that hasn't been released yet. when the game comes out, the video card you want will be cheaper, and there will probably be a better lineup of cards released by then. this is especially true since G80 and R600 are both directx 10 capable, meaning your investment will last much longer.
