Worth upgrading? need help

Currently running on a A64 300+ Socket 939

would it be worth the $80 to upgrade to an 4000+?

ya gotta oc the thing!!! u can get as good a bump in performance as u get from going 3000 to 4000 stock by a little oc... the high multiplier makes it real easy...

No! You should be able to overclock the 3000 to the 4000 speed. 2.4mhz is not that much. My opteron ran at 2900mhz and now my dual core opteron does 2910mhz.

Depends what you use your system for.

Seems like only yesterday I was drooling over that A64 4000 when it was over 500 dollars. 80 is pretty cheap, and a 4000 is certainly no slouch in the performance department.

since you not overclocking i would say yes go ahead and spend the 80 bucks. 400 mhz increase on AMD 64 cpu's makes a difference.
Now if you can overclock your 3000+ then don't spend the money.
