Worth upgrading my sound system?

I've been using these speakers for about 5 years now: http://slo-tech.com/testi/acs56/acs56.shtml
Would I notice a difference in quality (listening to CDs, winamp radio, gaming) to justify buying a new set of speakers?
Also, I'm using an creative SB audigy soundcard that is about as old as the speakers are.

Also, the soundcard I have right now has a line out so you can connect it to a stereo system..would that be my best bet?
