Worth upgrading from HD6870 CF, to GTX680?

Or would that be more of a sidegrade? Supposedly, two 6870 cards are nearly equal to a GTX580, and a GTX680 is a little faster.

But surely, it would run cooler, wouldn't it?
 
It is an upgrade, especially in terms of smoothness and less hassles at 20-40% higher FPS if the 680 is oced. It is going to feel much better to play on a single 680
