Worth Upgrading from AIW 7500 to AIW 9000?

I currently have an ATI AIW 7500 video card and am wondering if it is worthwhile to upgrade to the ATI AIW 9000 card. Would I notice a decent increase in speed? Is the tuner any better? I am tired of listening to this noisy fan on my AIW 7500 as well!

I would get 9000 because of its better performance in games...I heard AIW 9000 is nicely featured

If I simply remove the power cable to the noisy fan on my AIW 7500, would I have any overheat issues? I'm not overclocking or anything. I wish they would just put good heatsinks on these things so they aren't so loud!

ATI just announced the 9600 AIW, that would be a MUCH better upgrade IMO

😉 The 9000 is only as fast as a 7500 anyway, you just get DX8 support which isn't very usable on such a slow card anyway. The 9000proAIW (if they do that) is much closer to a Rad8500LE in perf so would be an upgrade but as mentioned the 9600pro is the logical next step up and the only option to really hold an advantage for the money you spend.

I was gonna say wait for the 9600AIW too. Seems the best bet if you want improved performance but without spending hundreds of $$$
