Worth upgrading from 670 SLI to a single 980 TI?

Based on some reviews I have seen I think my two 670s gives me ballpark 970 performance. But I'm not sure if that's true, especially in newer games. Anyone have an idea?

Are there any important features I'm missing out on with my 670s compared to 980 TI?

I'm thinking about waiting for Pascal.
 
My own rule of thumb is: I will not spend money unless I can double the framerates of my current card.

I own a single gtx680. Even a gtx980 would not have doubled my framerates yet. So I was certainly not gonna buy a gtx980 (or any older card).

The gtx980ti is twice as fast as my gtx680. However, it's 1.5x the price that the gtx680 was (500 euro vs 750 euro). Also, availability is really bad in my country, and all webshops are gouging the prices (800 euro for a stock card, more for the non-reference ones). After my initial enthusiasm, I am now more irritated (because of prices and availability). And the new nvidia drivers improved performance on my gtx680. GTAV and TW3 are very playable with high/ultra settings at 1080p.

I might now actually wait for Pascal too. I don't like feeling like I'm being ripped off.
 
It really depends. Are you getting unsatisfactory performance in any games you currently play now? If you're still able to sustain playable framerates at the graphics level you want right now, I can't see any reason to upgrade. I'm in the same boat as Gryz (680 considering a 980ti), and I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 980ti because it will allow me both a significant boost in performance, but also a chance to crank the graphics in games I currently play at less than max (GTA V and Shadow of Mordor, for example). So it's worth it to me. If you're comfortable waiting, that's almost always the correct choice; performance is always going to get better as newer technology arrives.
 
Ouch! Just checked the price on the TI in Norway. It's NOK7000. :\ That's just over $1000.

Titan X costs $1500. Double-ouch!

Yeah, true. I just hope my cards will perform well in Just Cause 3. But since it's a console title I suspect they will.

I think I will hold on to my savings for now and wait for Pascal. Thanks for your two cents, folks.
 
I didn't even see this thread before I made my own sli 670 vs 980 ti thread.

I'm going to go for sli 980 ti down the road but it will be a few more months before I grab the second card. What kind of performance could I see from dual 670s to dual 980 ti's?

A single 980 is already beating sli 670s in many titles. I don't know what % improvement to expect but it'll be pretty significant.
