Worth the upgrades?

My current setup is a dell 4600 with
p4 2.6 533 w/o HT
512 mb pc 2700 (2x256mb)
ati radeon 9800 pro

thinking bout getting
msi k8n neo4-f
Athlon 64 3000
2x512 patriot vaue ram
6600 gt

Is it worth the upgrade? price of that setup with case psu etc is around 850$.
Oh yeah iam a pretty hardcore gamer but have had to revert to low settings on all the new games.Would this upgrade last me a year untill i head off to college?

Looks like a good idea, but you'll wanna go to at least an X800XL or 6800GT for the video card upgrade, since the 6600 GT isn't all that much better than the 9800 Pro.

you planning on using ur same case? a new case with better ventilation is great. and plus, 9800pro is not that much slower than a 6600
