My specs now are:

P3-800(133)
256 meg PC133
GF2 GTS @ 200/390
Win2k sp2 (I will not upgrade to winXP in a while, I like win2k)

Will I notice any difference in new games like SoF 2 and RTCW, if I get another 256 megs of RAM?
I don't think so, but I'm not sure....

I run 512 for PS6, PageMaker and Illustrator.

Upgrading is cheap too; $30 for some Crucial CL2. Go for it if you have the cash.

getting more RAM supposedly slows it down just a hair...not enough to notice, but if you're really picky on getting max specs, maybe you wouldnt like to give up that unnoticable 3-4 Kbits.

depending on your chip configuration, sometimes it speeds performance up.

Yes it is worth it - I noticed a jump in some of my games and Photoshop when I went to 512MB - and as it's been said ram is so cheap these days, what's to hurt to get more of it...

Let me put it to you this way, I'm using 450MB+ of my 512MB when I'm playing RTCW. :| I just upgraded to 1GB though.

You should definitely upgrade unless you're planning to upgrade to a non-SDRAM motherboard in the near future. The cost of RAM these days is absolutely dirt cheap.
