Worth getting the Sonata II over the Sonata I?

What's the prices are you getting? Generally I would say yes as it includes a beefier powersupply and the optimizations to the case itself are nice.

the front intake 120mm is in the same position on both cases.

Better PSU is the only reason i see on buying one :(

i wished there was more difference but i don't see many.

Much better intake airflow on the Sonata II (larger opening) and the door swings 270 degrees "out of the way." Also there are no "Antec" perforated holes on the side. 3 more reasons :)

I have an Antec PerformancePlus and its loud. I think I may just get some smart fans or something instead of buying a whole new case when I have a perfectly good one.

Plus the side CPU\video card cooling duct

Yes, it's worth it. I've used both and I have my system in a Sonata II right now. The Sonata II has much better airflow, an ATX 2.0 PSU, and it no longer has the stupid "ANTEC" holes on the side panels.

They did make some changes, but the fact that they left the HD cage turned 180 and the front intake fan is on the same place drive me nuts.
I don't undertand why they didn't move the front fan to up against the front intake like it should be.

The airflow is supposed to be "much improved", but I have my doubts. I would not suggest a Sonata case (I or II) for anyone that needs good system cooling.

I was under the impression that dual-rail PSUs are actually a DISadvantage, since the amperage on the two rails can't be combined, and there's a good chance one of the rails won't be up to the load placed on it.

honestly the sonata 1 is on sale for $70. 70 vs 120...if you're gonna replace the power supply then go with the sonata 1.
