Worth getting leather?

I want to get a new office chair for my computer desk. I want something that's comfy and fits me well, and has nice arms. I know leather is comfortable, but is it really worth it over fabric? I just don't want to shell out $80 or something for a chair, I'm on a tight budget.

What would you recommend that's cheap and comfortable?

Leather would hide office stains better (or more likely you could clean them up.) You just have to know that no one else is going to walk off with it. If you share an office with someone know that leather makes more noise which could get annoying if you shift around alot. I have leather furniture in my house and I wouldn't want it any other way. Costco had a nice Lane leather office chair the last time I was in the office aisle.

Sound isn't an issue, this is for my own office at home. Hiding stains isn't a benefit, either, as I rarely eat around my computer.

That said, is it worth the comfort? What's a good price for a chair?

I pretty much can't stand leather even in moderate weather, it insulates and can make me sweat. Definitely preferred cloth/fabric for office chairs. Also picked not-leather for my car.

So make sure you're comfortable sitting in leather for however long you generally use that desk.
